Summer Institute
The summer institute is a week long workshop for K-8 teachers. It teaches you how to use your schoolyards and local parks to teach inquiry based earth science. This years institute will run from July 21-25.
Summer 2007 Institute a success!
During some of the hottest days this summer, 19 Syracuse City School District elementary teachers explored area parks with scientists from SUNY-ESF and Syracuse University. In addition they learned about integrating literacy, mathematics and technology with inquiry science.
